Hi Lance, I do not know if you remember me, I am the one that had 6 strokes and was paralyzed for a year and could not talk. I now run a non profit organization comprised of stroke survivors that help other stroke survivors. When I visited you 3 -4 times, you reminded me of my own journey, you have an incredible desire to get better and have demonstrated that. Never give up, there are times during recovery that progress may not be apparent to us but it is happening. Try to do everything asked of you, you are in a good facility. Remember, we get to program our brain (neuro plasticity) on our outcome, what we put into it is what we get out of it. I will be up to see you during your stay there. I hope you get acclimated quickly, it always took me a week to get used to a new place and a week for them to get used to me. Lance from the bottom of my heart I wish you the best and I am confident that you will do great, see you soon...

Peter,
You are an inspiration to my brother and I believe he will look to you and your organization for the hope and guidance he will need to meet the challenges he will be facing during his recovery process.

Thanks for being there for us.
